Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt, one of India’s greatest stars right now, is well on her way to becoming a worldwide phenomenon. Currently in Seoul, Korea, for the Gucci Cruise 2024 fashion show, Alia is the newest worldwide and first Indian ambassador of the premium brand Gucci. The actress was seen out and about on Tuesday wearing a short black dress with polka-dot cutouts and a silver lining. She wore black platform heels with the outfit. But the real show-stopper was the translucent Gucci Jackie 1961 bag that Alia carried. Since it is see-through, many people on the internet found it humorous that Alia’s bag seemed to be empty.
Some people on the internet were quick to mock Alia Bhatt for her empty purse. Several admirers commented on a social media photo by Vogue India, asking why the Highway actress was seen with an empty bag and even naming her in their question.
A supporter questioned, “The bag is empty, so why is Alia carrying it??” “So, the bag is empty [laughing emoji],” reads another remark. As a result, it may be concluded that “inke bags khali hote hai” (empty bags). Another supporter sighed, “Bro, the purse is meant to hold a few things at least!” ‘If not an empty bag, is it a water bottle?’ pondered one user. I’m at a loss for words.
On Monday, Alia Bhatt was featured in two humorous photos posted by Thai sensation Davikah Hoorne, who was also in attendance. Both celebrities in the photo are wearing, you guessed it, Gucci clothing. Davikah Hoorne included a geotag for Seoul, Korea, the word “love,” and a few love emojis in a tweet she sent.
Anaita Shroff Adajania, a famous stylist, responded with a string of loving emojis. “Omg, I love her!” was what Thai actress Laila Boonyasak tweeted about her.
Alia Bhatt posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “I am honored to represent the house of Gucci not only in India but at a global stage,” to announce her partnership with the premium brand. I’ve always been fascinated by and inspired by Gucci’s history, and I can’t wait to work with the house to establish its place in the annals of fashion.
Alia Bhatt’s director and mentor, Karan Johar, said, “Proud… Proud… Proud.” Among others who sent their congratulations to Alia were her mother, Soni Razdan, and fellow actors Janhvi Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Vaani Kapoor.
Alia Bhatt’s next films include Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, directed by Karan Johar and co-starring Ranveer Singh, and Jee Le Zaraa, directed by Farhan Akhtar and co-starring Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
